Vitamin C serum: 10% vs 20% and how to choose

Helen Hunt Skin offers two vitamin C strengths. C Glow contains 10% ascorbic acid in a lightweight formula described for younger, oily skin. C Glow +20 contains 20% L-ascorbic acid with ferulic acid. Both are serum steps; you do not need to layer them together.

Which strength should I choose?

If you are new to vitamin C or prefer a lighter option, begin by looking at C Glow. If you already use vitamin C comfortably and want the 20% formulation, consider C Glow +20. Skin tolerance, product formulation and how consistently you use it matter more than simply choosing the largest number. Introduce a new active gradually and follow its label.

How does vitamin C fit into a routine?

In the morning, cleanse, use your chosen vitamin C serum as directed, moisturise if needed and finish with broad-spectrum Defence 50 facial SPF. Vitamin C is not a sunscreen substitute. The morning routine guide shows the full order.

What can vitamin C do?

Topical vitamin C is used for antioxidant support and the appearance of dullness and uneven tone. Results depend on the finished formulation and the individual; ingredient research alone does not prove a particular product's numerical efficacy claim.

Compare both options in the Vitamin C collection.
